  1. I am now beginning to wonder if there is a way to reduce the volume of the WAV file or the MP3 prior to running it through the SJ. Do you think this is possible with Audacity?
  2. Sounds like your where I want to move towards. I have three guitars now - Australian Maton Skyline, a Strat (which is my luthier "practice" on piece) built from eBay parts and a Telecaster. I am thinking of Warmoth for the next one.
  3. Hi Brazzy Can you explain this a little more for me, "I turn down all the inputs I'm not using" Cheers
  4. Hi Brazzy. And a Happy and prosperous new year to you. I have played around with the "inputs" and "playback levels" Cheers
  5. Why is the "clean" setting volume so low against the preset song and drum tracks? Is this a fault of the SJ?

Update. Heard from Line6 support and they asked me to check that I wasn't converting in 2 channels as SJ will only see a single channel. I realise now that I was only selecting MONO INPUT and not MONO OUTPUT. To convert to mono I had to select the track by clicking in its Track Control Panel then click Tracks > Stereo Track to Mono. This mixes in data from both channels to one mono track without clipping.

Yep. I'll contact support as well and then report back. Thanks, Brazzy.

Yes the WAV file is in Mono and at 44100 HZ. Still, when the SJ tries to read it it responds with "wrong file format". In Audacity preferences I selected WAV (Microsoft) signed 16bit PCM. It seems odd that it would be WAV (Microsoft) given that it is being converted on a Mac.

Having some problem wit the SD card. Formatted it via Spider Jam but when I go to use it (that is, listen to a backing track saved to the SD from my Mac) I get Wrong File Format...Must be a WAV file. I have converted the MP3 to WAV using Audacity. Any ideas on the process to get it up and running? Cheers.
  10. Thanks for the response, Brazzy. I will give it a go.
  11. Hi, is it possible to copy jam tracks onto the 2gig memory card and then have the tracks play through the line 6? Thanks in advance.
  12. Hi all Sorry for such a newbie question, but when I turn on the power switch to my Spider Jam it makes a kind of gurgling sound for a few seconds. Is it meant to do that and if so what is going on? Cheers
  13. And that does the trick...thanks, Brazzy! Turns out I already have v2.09.
  14. Hi all. Is there a way to determine what firmware my Spider Jam is loaded with before I update to v2.09 (which I believe is the latest) - no point in upgrading if I purchased it with v2.09. Cheers
  15. Interesting that that is the case.
  16. Thanks, Brazzy. Now where is that gaffer tape...?
  17. Hi. Can someone tell me how to turn off the tap light on the Spider Jam 75. Is it possible? The flashing is grating on my nerves. :-) Cheers John
