  1. Having the same problem with my Pod UX1 (same problem also applies with my old Guitar Port out of interest) with Win 7 Ultimate SP1 x64. The equipment works fine on my x64 laptop, but the machine that I NEED it to work on, it won't. Windows 7 sees the device, but it's like it's hidden from PF and Gears' view.
  2. I really do appreciate your comments because ordinarily I'd not make such a sweeping statement... but my Guitar Port and UX1 both work perfectly well on my x86 Win 7 Ultimate laptop... everything I've read seems to imply that the drivers just aren't working for x64 machines and I can replicate the problem with both Line6 devices on my far newer, more powerful x64 desktop. I'm convinced there's an un-addressed software conflict somewhere... hopefully I'm barking up the right tree.
  3. The more I read, the more worried that I get because I'm finding countless examples of EVERY piece of L6 hardware suffering the same problem. Have I wasted my money altogether because it looks like Line 6 are hiding from what is becoming a VERY well publicised problem on their forums and haven't offered a single solution. There must be a driver / software conflict in the system somewhere, but it needs a much greater mind than my own to find it.
  4. Really appreciate your time though. This is definitely deeper set than just PF etc as NONE of the Line 6 software can detect my Pod Studio UX1 OR Guitar Port connected to the computer even though Windows is detecting the hardware perfectly. I'm hoping that someone can just say 'Oi idiot, THIS is stopping it from working' - here's hoping!!
  5. Having been through the helpful L6 instructional video for Licence Manager, I can see that the UX1 should appear as connected whether registered or not. It isn't. So basically, none of the L6 software can 'see' the UX1, even though Windows CAN see it.
  6. All purchased brand new yesterday. I should have stated, that when I installed the bundled Pod Farm 2.0 (before updating), I had the exact same problem. If I'm in Monkey for example, it doesn't detect any connected hardware, nor does Gears. As far as purchasing a PF2.5 licence, my PC is fully authorised on the L6 website, but I have no options to purchase a licence (although surely this is mine anyway as I purchased the device brand new from my local L6 dealer)
  7. Hi there. I was a Guitar Port user for many years but when I ran into hardware conflicts when moving computers, I upgraded to the Pod Studio UX1 on the advice received online. I'm having the same problem as follows: ((Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1)) I install Pod Farm 2.5 no problem at all. When prompted, I connect the UX1 and Windows immediately detects the hardware and says it is ready for use. The UX1 status light turns from red to green. BUT, when I run ANY Line 6 software (Gears, Monkey or Pod Farm), it insists there is no compatible device connected. I've tried all of the obvious: trying different USB cables and ports, updated every driver to the most recent etc. It's as if there is something that I can't think of stopping the software talking to the hardware even though Windows happily acknowledges that it is there. This is driving me nuts!! Please, someone help me!!
