Same issue here with the UX1, tried every workarround here posted, got playback going but no mic greenbars or skype working, only software i can hear the mic is in the Guitar Rig 5(LOOL) i even bang'd the usb port with the cable like a porn actor...no result besides my pc almost flying away from my desk... hope this gets fixed soon...i would be sad to have to trow my Line 6 products to the trashcan and replace them with Focusrite or M-Audio... me and some folks here are looking forward to see this problema being fixed for our Line 6 Devices.
