Can you play backing tracks through the spider v? Either through an input or using the app or a computer?

I got the spider v 60 watt and so far I am far from impressed. Ive messed around with settings but everything sounds very processed sounding. I notice that in the amp settings under cabinet you can turn the cabinet sim off. I was wondering if anyone had thought of replacing the full range speaker with like a celestion 10 inch speaker and then turning the cabinet sim off? Maybe an upgrade in tone? anyone else think of trying this or have tried it?
