  1. long time bump...is this possible or do I need to create an aggregate device?
  2. Hey Everyone, I'm using Helix as my recording interface. My DAW allows for changing the output channels of the metronome and I'd like to take advantage of this routing to send the click to the headphones and the remaining audio to output channels 1 and 2 for my monitors. Is this possible? Any help would be appreciated, cheers.
  3. Oy, that was it. Thanks for the tip!
  4. Mac drivers. I'm unsure whether I should be using Line6 or Mac drivers at this point. I'm Helix firmware 1.10.0 as well.
  5. Hey Everyone, Recording direct via USB with dry signal enabled worked fine up until I tried it again today. I have the Re-amp src (USB7) output set to 'Guitar' and my 1/4" instrument is plugged in, however I get no signal in my DAW. Outputs 1-2 have signal, but nothing on 7 and I tried switching to 8 as well, no dice. I'm using Logic Pro X 10.2.3 and recently upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.5. Is this a known issue with either version? Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

    Bass Patches

After talking with a bassist, I believe some of the music I was hearing was performed on a bass with active pickups, hence the much brighter, snappier tone.
  7. Could you or anyone else expand upon why this is a big issue? Is this dealing with unwanted signal boosting? I have the same values in my Global Settings and the output sounds pretty nice to my ears.

    Bass Patches

I've got JBL LSR 308s and Audio Technica ATH-M50X. I'm getting a decent 'boomy' bass sound but I'm also looking for a very tight & compressed pop 'n slap funky tone

    Bass Patches

Hey Roscoe, Thanks for the patches, I used them live at a gig yesterday and in some tracking today. Cheers!

    Bass Patches

Fellow Players, I'm primarily a guitarist but recently picked up the bass and have been looking for helix bass patches on custom tone - unfortunately I haven't been able to find much and the factory presets aren't as 'boomy' and present as I'd like. I'm still tweaking some patches but does anyone have a nice r&b, funk bass patch they're willing to share or point me in the right direction of? Cheers!
  11. I can also confirm intermittent dropouts after using running the Helix into my DAW for a fair length of time - 30 minutes or so. It would be great to add this to a bug list for the Helix software developers to tackle. Here's some more information on my setup for debugging Line 6 Helix SPDIF Out (clock master) to Focusrite Clarett 8Pre (clock slave) OSX 10.11.13 Logic Pro X Recorded in 96k and 44.1k, issue arises in both
  12. Thanks Lulu. One more question - does the Helix send out a dry signal as well or only wet? Would be great to record both dry and wet signals simultaneously via SPDIF if possible.
  13. Hey Folks, I've got a question pertaining to recording via SPDIF. I have my Helix running into an Focusrite Clarett interface via SPDIF and I notice that I hear audio signal from the Helix on both input 9 & 10 in Logic Pro X. Does this indicate that the Helix is sending a stereo signal out, one channel being left mono and the other right? Also, I'm assuming I should set the internal clock source on my interface to SPDIF as it should be receiving SPDIF clock information from the Helix, correct? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
  14. Thanks Duncan. I do think the helix performs well as a USB interface. I was using it as such for awhile but I need more mic preamps to record instruments and I'd like to centralize all xlr connections, thus the desire for an additional interface
  15. Hey Pete, I think you're correct about inaudible differences between connectors. For the most part, I think audiophilia is relative to the listener and often overemphasized when the majority of the world is listening to audio through basic audio devices. I just figured I'd ask for due-dilligence sake and to keep the audio elite of the world happy :)
