  1. I had the same issue with not being able to do the update via USB connection to my computer. I kept getting an error saying unable to install update response -3. I finally did what was mentioned below and did the update from the device itself and it worked. While I'm glad I got passed that, it's still been extremely frustrating the amount of bugs the stadium has for a unit that costs $2,199.99. From the moment I got it there has been bug after bug. I didn't get my first Helix until it had been out for several years so maybe it had lots of issues out of the gate too, but I never saw those. This is pretty ridiculous. All that being said, once you can get past the interface bugs, the unit works great. Hopefully they get this stuff worked out soon.
  2. Awesome. Thanks for the input.
  3. I'm just curious if anyone has tried using a HX effects along with the Helix floor. I use the Craig Anderton Multband patches for recording which eats up all of the DSP for the Helix floor so I was thinking about using the HX effects in the effects loop to get reverb/delays in conjunction with the multiband patches. Has anyone tried this? It's a lot of money to spend to just try.
  4. I'm a little confused. As es345tds stated the manual clearly says "put a standard 1/4 inch guitar cable here" in the description of the Analog output. I primarily use the VDI to my Helix, but I have occasionally used the battery/analog output to play through a traditional amp. Also, I find it interesting that the subject is about using both output at the same time and the consensus is that is bad, however you must use both when connecting to the workbench via a PC. Granted in that scenario the 1/4 cable doesn't need to plug into anything, but both are used.
  5. I have been using my Helix as an audio interface with Studio One 4 for a while now. All of the sudden on Christmas Eve it fails to initialize within Studio One. I did a Windows update that day so I assumed that was the issue, but I just uninstalled the Windows update and it still won't work. I am on the latest versions of both Studio One and Helix firmware. Is anyone else having this issue?
