  1. Thanks to everyone. I have realized that when I tap on the mic the sound goes right back through the cab. But, my grandfather said that he might give me an old mixing board, that he doesnt use anymore, which has the capability of doing a lot. So, that could be my solution. Thank you again for your input I will keep it in mind.
  2. So, I have a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier with a Marshall 412 cabinet that is hooked up to the HD500x, via 4 cable method. I just bought a Shure sm57 mic. and want to record guitar ONLY. No vocals just guitar and bass. I have watched some vidoes many times no help. Looked at forums many times no help. I have discovered, after hooking the mic into the MIC IN, that my mic. is sending sound out through the amp and not recording what I play. Am I missing certain equipment or setting somewhere? I'm kinda frustrated with this so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
  3. I am still completely confused on how to do this. I have a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier with a Marshall 412 cab. I have a chain set up for a good rhythm tone and wish to record onto my recording software. I just bought a Shure sm57 mic. and have plugged into the MIC IN and when I record there is nothing. No sound at all. I only want to record guitar and bass, I have EZDrummer2 so drums are no problem. I have looked at every forum many times and watched all relevant videos many times as well and still nothing. I dont know what I;m missing. p.s. I know this subject is like 2 years old but I would like some help please.
