Has there been any new suggestions of late? I've got hd500x that won't update. I've tried all the stuff mentioned here and in other post's.

Got a pod hd500x and can't get it to update firmware. I've searched and searched online with no luck. I've tried all the normal different cables, different computers, different operating systems and so on. It does work and I can program from the display and what not. I love the sounds i'm getting so far and I don't want to just give up on line 6 because of this issue. Surely there is a fix. Please help!
