Well, I took the plunge and preordered the Helix!! I was discussing the Helix with a friend right around the time I preordered it and we got onto the topic of the multiple input paths. You can have a guitar in the guitar input and output to the a guitar output. You can have an XLR input for vocals and output to a USB. The next logical question was ... can you mix these signals into one output and send the output to a guitar power amp return? The next question after that would be ... would you really want to? An example of this would be to have a mic for vocals hooked up to the XLR input, a guitar in the guitar input, and maybe even an mp3 player in an auxillary input, mix them all together and output them to the amp return. I realize the guitar power amp is designed for guitars so there is a certain amount of colorization to be expected and you wouldn't want to record anything from it but would the sound be too crappy for just practice?
