  1. I see, I see - so the time lag is caused by switching patches, not switching effects etc on or off when you're still in a patch. That's really helpful - thanks so much.
  2. Thanks a million for responding. So when I switch from a simple FX loop patch that uses the amp's distorted tone to a POD patch that uses an amp model, that time gap is normal? Wow. I'd love to hear more about those more complex patches you mentioned. Or are they a trade secret? ;)
  3. Folks, Anyone else struggling with this? I run a POD HD500X with the 4 cable method so I can use my amp's distorted sound and add effects from the POD. But when I switch between patches that use the amp's preamp and patches that run purely through the POD, there's a noticeable break in the signal - it's not an instant switch. There's a brief moment of silence that's really not too slick, especially live. Anyone else noticed this? Cheers, Joe
  4. Thanks, man. So when I set the dualtone, pan one side 100% left and the other 100% right, then run my cables from the left and right outputs into the appropriate amps?
  5. Folks, Sincere apologies if this question has been asked... I'm guitarist in a two-piece band (guitar and drums). I want to use my HD 500 to add some bass. In simple terms I want to add a dual tone to each of my basic patches, so I have my regular guitar tone PLUS a version that's tuned down by an octave. I think that's pretty easy to do. But... Then I want the regular guitar tone to go to my guitar amp and the tuned-down 'bass' tone to go to a bass amp. Is it possible to send each side of a dual tone patch to a separate amp? And if so, how? Many thanks for any help - and apologies again if I'm going over old ground. Joe
