Yes I'm thinking I will take my 1/4" outs into my D2 stereo DI, just to remove any possibility of the purported "Phantom power hiss" issue and I in certain situations I do some summing of texturing soft synth and drum sounds via a hardware looper before sending it all off to FOH. I want to thank you so much for the answers, I have had feelers out for several days and I was getting no responses from one silver head to another Thanks PS Do you have a Helix yourself? I have to say I have never liked a processor as much as I like this one. It is the first that I really get the subtleties of the volume and tone settings of my guitar reflected back at me in such a natural way! I'm very excited to try the new FW next week, will call Full Compass on Monday and order a L2M

Hi all I posed this question in the Helix room and have had no responses. I'm wondering if it is possible to use the Line 6 Link from my Helix and still get signal into the L2M via the Line in Many thanks

Hello all I've had my Helix about a month now, I absolutely love it. I was a little scared by some of the negatives I heard in heard during the month I waited for delivery. It has however be flawless so far and I feel like I'm playing my guitar through an amp again. Great work all of you Line 6 folks and Thanks!! I wanted to use my Helix for a while before jumping in and purchasing a monitoring rig, I am reaching that point :) So I have a couple of questions, I've pretty much narrowed it down to 2 or 3 choices Line L2M Mackie DLM8 dB FM10 I want to be able to monitor in stereo, I would also like to be able to get a feed from my monitor guy to fill in the rest of my mix. For what ever reason I'm not crazy about the L6 L2T, my main question (finally) if I plug my Helix into a pair of L2M's is the analog/Line in still active? A second question is, do the L2M's mirror nicely, I've never seen a layout of speaker placement, (it would be nice to have the HF drivers on the outside of each box, and sit on the deck evenly) It looks like the boxes have 30/60 degree kickback so it seems the wouldn't with the HF drivers on the outside... so how do they sound in stereo ? Any other thoughts on the boxes listed above? I like the idea of the DLM8, but something in me is hesitant (and they are over priced) As a reference, I currently monitor through a pair of Roland cube 30's going into the aux in (straight to the power amp) Thanks for taking the time to read this I lok forward to all your comments

Is there a MIDI implementation document available for the Helix?

My 1st post here, I got a e-mail (and tracking number) from Full Compass, my Helix is on it's way! I saw Line 6's Robert Factor demo the Helix at AES and was blown away, the sound, the build, the i/o. It was exactly what I was looking for, so Friday is the big day. I've been trolling in here reading all the posts the good the bad and the .... All I can say right now is I'm very excited!
