I would like to connect my Helix to my amp through the amp's effects loop. Any mystery to doing that? What are the correct connections?

I just bought a Helix, and have been playing with presets and even created my first custom preset. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to switch the expression pedal between EXP1 and EXP2, which are set up for volume and wah respectively on some presets. All I can get from it is volume control, but can't switch to wash mode. I have seen mention in the manual of a hidden toe switch, but I can't figure out how that works. Hints? Clues? 6stringnazi
