  1. I recently bought a Pod GX and hooked it up to my Asus C90S laptop. Right away I heard loud humming noises. First I thought my cable or my Fender were the culprit, but on my PC the humming was gone. It had to be my laptop. Next guess was it could be the power supply, which is not grounded. A friend of mine had a great idea. “Just ground the guitar!†So I connected the bridge to the ground pin of the wall socket (see picture 1). Humming gone! Now for a permanent solution. I removed the clamp on one end of the cable and wrapped it around the plug of my guitar cable. The plug housing is screwed on and holds the cable in place nicely, no soldering required (see picture 2). Works perfectly! I thought I share this for all others with humming problems with laptops or tablets.
