My G70 does the same thing and a separate power supply does fix the issue. I was using a one spot and a daisy chain. My G50 did not have that issue with the one spot power supply. Used it for years. Bought an isolated multi power supply for this, but don't have it yet. Hope that works too, but that raises the price point as another item is needed.
