Please take a look at the other post: I use an iPhone SE with iOS 10 and tried both adapters from Apple: the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter and the one with the 0.2 m cable. Both adapters from Apple work with my Line 6 Midi Mobilizer 2. With both apps MIDI Memo and Garage Band. Hope, that helps...

I tested it with Midi Memo Recorder and Garage Band.
