A few little ideas from the Quad Cortex
Melodioso replied to littlespaceman's topic in Helix Stadium
Interesting to observe the consistency of the results between MUSHRA and Bayesian Elo tests. It's time for Line 6 to include a NAM block on the Stadium and even to re-evaluate the business value of continuing the development of Proxy. Clearly, it is not a competitive advantage or a USP. Quite the contrary: this isn't flattering for Line 6... -

Honestly, I still don't understand why they have not "simply" provided support for NAM. I see competitors using that strategy which makes more sense imo, especially if you have already purchased NAM profiles form commercial vendors. You can re-use them across platforms and NAM is now a mature and accurate system. -
Same opinion here: I would wait 12–18 months after release to get a more stable, mature product. In my view, if you already own an OG Helix, the money spent on a Stadium can feel excessive for what you actually get. Had I known what I know now, I would not have bought the Stadium as an early adopter. I would have waited those 12–18 months instead. The result is that I barely use the Stadium. I have not touched it in the past two months. That said, I am happy to hear that it works well for some people. Facebook is full of horror stories from other people gigging with it and having to restart the device mid-show, then wait around 60 seconds for it to boot back up. I am now used to the 10-second boot time of the AM4, and I definitely miss the sub-20-second boot time of the OG Helix.

I fear that there are no solution for these complains, except building some kind of sunshade (but it's kind of ugly tbh). They cannot replace all the LED ring lights and scribble stripes now. That was the first thing that I noticed as I turned on for the first time the Stadium XL. My beloved HX Stomp was just next to it. The brightness of the LED ring lights was exactly the same on both device and I thought "Missed opportunity there". I guess we just have to learn by heart what button does what ^^

Has anyone figure that out yet by any chance? The documentation has no information on SIC (speaker impedance curves). 3) What is the difference between a linked and unlinked IR Cab block (you can have both option) ? 4) Are SIC loaded by default with an amp when no cab block is inserted afterwards (when using with a real power amp and cab)?

Confused about latest ASIO drivers: version 0.0.3 vs 2.0.0
Melodioso posted a topic in Helix Stadium
Hello, On the Download site, there are two ASIO drivers that you can download for the Helix Stadium XL: - Version 0.0.3 released 1/20/26 - Version 2.0.0 released 11/18/25 Which one is the latest one? The most recent (0.0.3) or the highest version (2.0.0)? Thanks and sorry for the stupid question. First time I experience this situation. -
Some answers: 1) Are speaker impedance curves (SIC) loaded by default with an amp when its associated Cab block is linked (gold link icon) ? -> Yes 2) Are SIC loaded by default with an amp when an IR Cab block is inserted afterwards ? If yes, which SIC (i.e., from which cab)? -> Yes, the default cab. 3) What is the difference between a linked and unlinked IR Cab block (you can have both option) ? -> My guess: with link icon = default SIC loaded, without link icon = no SIC ? 4) Are SIC loaded by default with an amp when no cab block is inserted afterwards (when using with a real power amp and cab)? -> My guess: No ?

The current size of the upper part of the Helix Stadium with the touch screen (XL and non-XL) is unfortunately too big to fit into a 3U rack (the size of the Helix Rack). So they would need to redesign the product to make it fit into a 3U space - or - make a 4U rack which no one would want because it would be freaking to big. An elegant solution would be to take whatever screen and UI that they would put on the "Helix Stomp Stadium" (not yet released) and use that on the rack unit; and make it a 2U height rack. This would be a winner ! However, I'm not sure if sales number of the current Rack units would warrant for a new SKU. Note: you cannot re-use the Helix Controller with the Stadium.

Thanks a lot for those files! These updates and related process take longer and longer it seems...
