Could something similar be done with the hd500x? I want to use the HX stomp for the amp and cab models, and use my hd500x for extra effects+footswitches+exp..?

I was going to try using an AMT-tube pre amp with my hd500x...But I realised that the cab sim is only activated if you choose an amp model. Any way around this?
