  1. Yeah, that's what I suspected since no mention of it was to be found in the controller section. It's unfortunate for me as I really like parameters that can respond to playing dynamics and clearly Line 6 has applied the idea in a few select spots. Seems like it wouldn't be a far reach to implement playing dynamics into the controller section. Even my all analog Catalina Chorus has this, but admittedly it's a rare feature for an analogue pedal. Thanks for your responses.
  2. Does anybody know if it's possible to control an effects parameter via the signal level? e.g. I'd like to be able to control the mix for a chorus with the volume of the guitar; play softer, the chorus effect gets more pronounced. Or play harder and the gain increases on an overdrive patch. Clearly the autofilter effect can do this, but IMHO this would be a great ability to be able to apply to any parameter of any effect. Thanks for any tips you might have!

  4. Yeah, that made sense to me as well and I tried it repeatedly, however it doesn't work. When my expression pedals are set to Global unplugging the pedal always returns the preset volume pedal to zero, regardless of any saved state prior. Every preset goes to zero. The only solution I've found is on occasions when I don't plug in the expression pedal I can go to global setting>Expression in invert the expression pedal. The result is all presets go to 100 instead of 0, This means when I go back to using the expression pedal I have to reset it to normal, or it works in a backwards fashion.
  5. True, this is a great and fast workaround. Thanks!
  6. Good idea! That did the trick in terms of getting sound out of my patches without my expression pedal plugged in, however when I plug it in it now operates backwards; toe down is decreasing volume.
  7. I like the global application of the Volume Pedal block. The issue I've run into is that as soon as I unplug the expression pedal all my presets go to zero in the volume pedal block, so the HX is now dependant on having an expression pedal plugged in to make any sound at all. Rather annoying as I don't need this on every gig.
  8. Hoping somebody has been here before and solved this. I'm setting up an expression pedal to control volume. This works great as long as I keep my Global Setting>Pedals set to Preset. My preference would be to have this set to Global, so that if I have the expression pedal half way and then change presets the volume of the next preset won't jump. What I can't solve is that if I choose to run the HX without an expression pedal all my presets have their volume block set to zero. So useless as a stand alone unit. Is there anywhere to set the global expression position the way you can save it in presets? Thanks for any tips.
