  1. I tried out a Helix today, how do you select two different mono input paths for path 2? On the unit I was trying it only had a place to select inputs for 1 and 2, not 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b. Thanks!
  2. This is for the helix rack unit. So basically I can have two stereo signal paths, one before the preamp, and one in the fx loop, both paths running stereo fx (para eq in this case) with different settings for left and right? Thanks!
  3. Let's say I'm using the 7 cable method, and in my stereo FX loop path I have a parametric EQ. Is it possible to have different settings for L and R for this EQ?
  4. This is helpful! Thank you :) I am asking specifically about the rack foot controller, and it definitely looks like it can fit with my other pedals. Are these dimensions correct? 17.2 x 9.4 x 2.5? If so, I think it will just bareeely fit with my other pedals!!
  5. Apologies, one more question. Can snapshots toggle the "EXT AMP" control?
  6. I have a NOVO 24 pedalboard set up with various vocal effects and in ear monitor mixing, etc. I have a 17" x 9.5" region cleared for the Helix rack foot controller, but the foot controller seems pretty thick, especially with the slope built in. Does anyone else use a Helix rack foot controller with an existing pedaltrain pedalboard? Will it fit in the carrying case? Is it possible to get a Helix rack foot controller without the slope? I'm considering getting a MIDI controller for this reason.
  7. Ok no worries, as long as everything else is possible it should be fine :) Thank you!
  8. Ah ok interesting...this sounds like it will definitely work for me in that case :) Can snapshots switch outputs from 1/4 to xlr? Can they send midi commands? Can they toggle an expression pedal from "volume" to "whammy" mode? It seems very likely that all three things are possible. Are snapshots limited in the number of settings they can change? Can they change the order of blocks? Can snapshots be named? Thank you!!
  9. From the manual, I can see that in "Stomp footswitch mode" I can toggle blocks on and off. But I don't want to just toggle blocks on and off, I want to switch presets entirely. But is it possible to simply switch to another preset? For example: * Preset 1: compressor -> eq -> tube screamer -> (send to amp's preamp) -> expression pedal used as volume pedal -> delay -> reverb -> (amp's power amp) * Preset 2: eq with different settings -> chorus -> flanger -> (send to amp's preamp) -> eq -> (amp's power amp) * Preset 3: different compressor -> eq -> wah -> tube screamer with different settings from preset 1 -> chorus -> (send to amp's preamp) * Preset 4: compressor -> eq -> chorus -> flanger -> delay -> reverb -> (send to XLR outputs while muting the 1/4" outputs) * Preset 5: eq -> chorus -> expression pedal as whammy -> (send to amp's preamp) -> eq -> (amp's power amp) * Preset 6: ... etc My thought was to use 1 bank of presets per song, and then as the song progresses I can switch between presets as needed. Then for the next song simply switch banks. I want to be able to toggle between these with minimal switching delay. (All in stereo) Is this doable?
  10. Before investing in a Helix, I just want to be sure that it is capable of doing what I want. I have a stereo amp setup, and I use fx both before the preamp and in the loop, with both amps. These fx are configured differently for left and right. ie, I would like to run essentially 4 mono signal paths, and have different fx in each path. Just to reiterate, these mono paths are: 1. Amp 1 before preamp 2. Amp 2 before preamp 3. Amp 1 FX loop 4. Amp 2 FX loop Is my diagram showing the correct wiring? Is this possible? (Also keep in mind I want to use L3 and L4 for other fx so consider those already in use) Would it be possible to run 4 different parametric EQs also? 1 in each of the four paths listed above, but configured differently? Let me provide a concrete example also: 1. Boost at 1k 2. Boost at 2k 3. Cut at 250 4. Cut at 300 (Each with different Q settings also)
