  1. Yes the sound is slightly louder when it's not connected to the guitar. Anyway i have tested with different power cable and it's the same issue. No matter where i face the guitar it's still making the noise. It's so weird i have never had this issue before until now. Same house, nothing changed. Maybe after owning it for over a decade now it has had enough
  2. I think you misunderstood the amp thing. If i use a physical cab and a real amp i'm not getting that sound (no helix connected). I have also tested connecting Helix to a physical cab and i still get that high pitch noise as well. So it is the Helix unit itself that is making the noise. I will order a new power cable and test if that's the issue though
  3. No. Just one jack cable, headphones and power is plugged into the Helix
  4. I have tried with muliple guitars, but i still get that high pitch sound that sounds like it goes in waves. I have tried with a physical cab and an amp and i don't get that sound when i do that. So it's something to do with the Helix. It's honestly not playable for me. I have tried resetting the Helix, but that didn't work. I have tried different cables. The ground loop button on the helix doesn't remove the sound either rapidsave.com_why_do_i_get_this_high_pitched_background_noise-t38ukoeumu2g1.mp4
