dynamic microphone does not work on laptop

Hello guys! I would like to ask a question. I have a shure sm58 microphone and i would like to connect it to my laptop. I have a Innogear phantom power supplay, an XLR to XLR cabel, and XLR to 6,3mm jack cabel, 6,3mm to 3,5mm converter and a USB soundcard. SO that is the setup and i would like to connect it to my laptop. I connected the mic but its not working The mic is working as a headphone if i plug it in the headphone jack so i think the microphone is working Could you guys please help me?
