Hi, On the Helix, the channel volume is the one to use. Adjusting the master volume will affect your tone. For balancing volume, I use a combination of Orban Loudness Meter (which is free), listening while I work through my patches and then a final run-through in the rehearsal studio to make sure everything's dialled in.
