  1. I have Hx Effects, so I have 6 footswitches available. I know snapshots, and already started to program my Hx for my more complicated stuff with a band where we don't have gigs yet. But I have this setup realy straight forward with a band where there's lots going on on stage but just one set of effects always in stompbox mode, so I don't fiddle around much on the Hx, Just need a visual of where I am at the moment with the booster thing. So I came across this topic and never heard before that it was possible to assign two effects to one footswitch. Would be great if I could have regular volume compresor with yellow color and then with red color when boosted.
  2. What about two instances of same effect (compresor) but with different colors assigned? I want to have one compresor with regular level and then the other comp with higher volume for solos with a different color.
  3. I sold my Helix rack, to big to carry around. Bought Hx effects bc i need effects only, plus it has those small led screens over each button. 1. Hx Effects as midi controler for Native, but with same functionality of those led indicators? So when using Effects as midi controler WITH Native, to have same functionality - stomp mode, presets, snapshots and so on + same info on led screens as you’d have on standalone Hx Effects? Would be great if possible that when in need for amp sims and more routing opts, just use Fx in combo with my Macbook 2021. 2. Hx Effects as midi controller for Amplitube 5 and Tonex, both for Ipad. Same here is it possible to sign each preset and stomps when in stomp mode. Here I’d be using Amplitube/Tonex for Ipad m1 (Air). Would anyone by any chance have Helix presets for Native Mac and Amplitube/ToneX ipad?
  4. Why do you think it wont happen? A standalone app for ipad would be a killer. Or at least line6 we’d appreciate hx edit for iPad os.
  5. Ok I did it. Pretty straight forward. In Hx Effects sync with midi, plug midi in from Hx Effects to audio interface (midi port), in Ableton settings - midi tab - tick the middle ‚sync’ with your midi device. Next when you hit play on Ableton, the Tap button on Hx Effects starts blinking blue instead of red. Works for me flawlesly each time. No need to connect the Hx via usb.
  6. Ok, thanks. I didnt have the manual bc I was planing to get the hx effects. Sold my helix rack bc IT was to big for me to carry around. So I decided to get sth smaller but clock sync is crucial for me. But youre right I could download the manual.
  7. As in title, I used to sync clock between Helix rack and Ableton over spdif and Word clock, but Hx effects only has midi.
  8. I do, but I'm just starting. Got my Helix rack ca a month ago. I've got an NS Design Wav5 violin and do plenty of electronic m. with Ableton Live. As I said, just startin with Helix but I already find it very useful and convenient.
  9. Yea, piezo pickups will work ok with Helix. If you have a plain piezo with no built in preamp in your guitar (passive) the Helix guitar-in will auto detect your pickup and set the impedance to 1Mohm. You can also set it manually to 1Mohm, but that's not necessary. If you have an onboard preamp, it'll will work fine with the input impedance even lower than 1Mohm. Either way you'll be ok.
  10. rd2rk and theElevators thank you so much, it's working now. Not so obvious thou.
  11. Hi. Recently purchased my first Helix Rack + Control. How are snapshots supposed to work? I watched many YT tutorials, and I kinda get the idea. Same effects over snapshots in one patch, but cant differentiate among snaphots when it comes to Twin Harmony KEY/SCALE change. When I change it in snapshot no.1, it is also changed in other snapshots. Don't know about other types of pitch effects, just focused on twin harmony as this one is my point of interest for now for my needs. Tried with reverb and delay and those CAN be changed.
  12. Hi. So I have: - Helix Rack + Helix Control - RME Babyface Pro - Helix Native Helix Rack is equipped with AES/EBU XLR i/o, SPDIF rca (coaxial) i/o. RME Babyface Pro has ADAT/SPDIF optical (toslink) i/o. In short, I need to connect these two digitally, to have all sound sources controlled in Ableton Live for Live performance and for recording convenience (not having to switch forth and back), clock sync both ways (not at a time). Ableton controlling Helix (snapshot change) and Helix controlling Ableton (start stop and so on). Is there anyway that I can connect these Helix XLR AES/EBU i/o to RME optical ADAT? This option would be maybe more usable for multiple channel connection. Or the other way - connect Helix SPDIF coaxial to RME optical (toslink) SPDIF? This I know carries only two channels, but still usable. RME's ADAT vs SPDIF share the same toslink i/o and are switchable in RME Totalmix software. Any direct cables? I suppose not, that would have to be analog to optical. Any good quality converters? I have already tried Helix XLR out to RME XLR in + midi connection for clock sync. I aslo tried Helix USB as an audio interface, but I want to avoid that, as RME drivers are more stable and as a result more usable for live performance with Ableton Live. I do live sets in Ableton + play an electric violin thru Helix. Helix native is also not the way to go bc still there's no control over midi, and my computer is not that new (i7 2012) so better to use outboard effects unit since I have it.
  13. Hi. What's the actual input impedance in Helix stomp? I know there's some "auto" settings depending on effects pedal first in the chain, but that's not what I need to know, or what I require. I'm about to place an order for a one unit of this Helix Stomp, but I play an electric violin, of which the pickup requires to be always plugged into a whatever unit with an input impedance of at least 1Mohm (10MOhm ideally). So is Helix stomp able to ALWAYS have a 1MOhm input impeance like a regular audio interface?
