  1. Thing is, I restored my own presets after updating, as usual. All fine. But I wanted to check out some of the new factory presets after all, and when I went to restore factory presets (the usual way) it installed the 3.50 factory presets instead of the new ones. Not sure why. Nothing life threatening, of course, but I would like to try out a few of those new patches, if possible.
  2. Has the Helix matched the mighty, rare and pricey Zoom MS-50G yet, by way of finally offering reverse reverb? Doesn't Line 6 even have some people onboard that used to work at Digitech? Like, the company with the best reverse reverb in pedal form? Just curious...
  3. Finally been able to get back here for a moment. As it turns out, I did - after trying a number of other things - manage to update the HXFX. In case it's relevant to anyone else, what made the difference in the end was, of all things, using an extremely short USB cable. Yep, literally everything else was the same prior to trying that. Bizarre, and the only gear I've encountered that's quite so fussy in that specific way. But hey, it worked. Just thought it was worth posting.
  4. Not having much luck with Line 6 products lately. Just got a HX Effects, which was running 3.11, perfectly, no issues at all. Decided to update to 3.15 because it looks good. Fails every time. Got a tiny way through using Line 6 Updater, then says there's an error. Now it won't boot, unless I hold down '>' then release, but that's for trying the update again, which will just fail again. Not sure what the problem is. It's USB 2.0, PC sleep settings are all off, no other audio apps are running, etc.
  5. Did that. Still haven't heard back from them. Uncertain how to proceed, and if this is anything to go by, I might reconsider upgrading to a higher grade Line 6 model later on...
  6. Thanks, will do that (open a diagnostic) next time. Have already tried downloading the file and using that local version instead (via Monkey). No difference in result.
  7. Hi, Recently got a Pod HD Pro X, and have set about installing the PC software (I'm running Windows 10, latest version) and updating the Pod's firmware.. or trying to. I get the error message shown in the screenshot every time I try to do the flash update. Have used three different USB cables, all of which work fine for anything else. All PC drivers and Windows updates are the latest. USB power management is off in all settings. What am I doing wrong, if anything? Help!
