  1. This is real and still an issue. I am completely out of options. It is like the HX does not like this building for some unknown reason. I've tried different amps, cords, and I have even tested them before I take them to this building, they all work any where but this one place. It's not a power issue either. I've tested the output on both the AC outlet and the power brick. Any way the building is an old 25 foot X 10 foot shipping container turned into a storage building and now it is a music room. All of my other equipment works the only one that will not is the HX Stomp XL.
  2. I haven't tried the 4 cable method...yet.. and yes the amp is nothing special built in 1988 so it's not a DSP loaded piece of eq., I did remove it from the original 1x12 cabinet and made it a piggy back so I could plug into different cabs, other than that it is original no circuit mods, cap changes, transformer or anything else. Thanks for the paper work I'll look it over. I'm going to get out my multimeter and do some checking. The amp is at our practice site so it will have to come home the next practice and I'll replace it with my Peavey Classic 50 2x12.
  3. I knew I would loose all of my presets, I was just so frustrated I did it anyways. I worked as a Post Data Sales Engineer for 23 years. There has to be something that is missing that either the amp is looking for or the HX. Like maybe a current of some sort, or specific resistance (4ohm, 8 ohm, 16 ohm etc..). I tried Line/Line, Line/inst, inst/inst, & inst/line nothing worked. The oddest part is if I put the HX in Analog Bypass I could get normal sound, but if I engaged the DSP's it would not pass the sound. So far every other amp I've tried it in has worked. I'll keep digging and see what I can find. If I find a solution I'll post it. Surely, I am not the only one that has had this issue..
  4. Has anyone else experienced this? Last night I took my HX Stomp XL to a gig. I plugged it all up to a Old Fender Super 60 using the mono input/output ports and nothing. No sound at all. It works in the analog bypass but when the bypass is turned off there is no sound at all. I even did a factory reset and lost all of my time consuming hand built presets. I took it home and plugged it all up to a Fender Blues Jr using the same cables, power supply, and guitar and everything works fine. By the way this is the second time this has happened and I have never been able to get it to work with the Super 60. I'm scratching my head here, is there a certain impedance required for the output in order for it to work??
