I grew up in the mosh pits of San Diego, CA in the mid 1980s.

I spent 22ys as a Software Engineer doing QA work and leading big teams for big software companies

In 2008 I was diagnosed with the same disease that Mick Mars has, Anklylosing Spondylitis. 

Stuck at home, alone, during the pandemic thanks to immune suppressant drugs, I decided even if I cant play that great due to pain in my hands, I would pick up my guitars again. 

I play a '93 Jackson USA Custom Soloist and a 1928 Martin 2-17 parlor guitar. I have a Spider V mkii and a Boss GT-10. Sold all my other gear years ago. I wish I had kept my Metaltronix M-1000 head, but less is more as you get old.

I listen to old school metal like Crue, Def, Priest, Maiden, Mercyful, Motorhead...Love new bands like Opeth, Ghost, God is an Astronaut.

My alter ego loves prog like Rush & Porcupine Tree. I've been known to obsess over Leo Kottke, Hendrix and Big Bill Broonzy.
