Hi, I also had this problem (as describe in the first post) with my XT Live. I reflashed the memory using Line6 Monkey yesterday and it seems to have gone. Did not lose any presets (Monkey will prompt whether you want to keep these). Cheers

Previous answer applies to POD XT Live; don't know if XT PRO has a NORM/PAD switch. It is worth checking is there is one. -

Hi, Did you check the NORM/PAD switch next to the input jack? This should be set to NORM (PAD attenuates high output levels). Cheers
