i fought that for 3 weeks then managed to get though. i think it was on safari browser.. but i tried every browser many times in that 3 week period and it would just throw 500 errors getting past that first search step. one thing that might have been affecting it is i block a bunch of tracking endpoints at my firewall and the only time it did actually work i was resolving and passing information to both google and facebook urls... makes sense to have the line6 sites ability to collect support tickets completely dependent on ad trackers... but again.. we arent here because of programming excellence. try switching to 8.8.8.8 on your dns and having your access wide open when you try to get the ticket submitted.. maybe it had something to do with it.. i dont know.. but it was the only time it did actually succeed without a host of 500 errors.

we are making progress sort of.. the bug is being caused by them breaking the ability to have multiple cabs in a path. not sure how everyone else was using their helix.. but on the original floor we had a template that demonstrated the mixing of 2 cabs using the expression pedal. my sound was tailored around this ability. currently based on the ticket i had and the backup they had me flash.. this fundamental feature was broken as of v1.2 of the firmware.. they didnt say that.. i did.. because i used it without issue for 3 weeks playing live gigs on 1.1.0. the question that is still out is are they going to fix it?? and i havent gotten an answer to that yet.. but just to be clear.. this type of flexible functionality is what set helix apart from headrush and kemper. The out of the box intuitive interface definitely wasnt it. or the sound for that matter. out of the box both competitors had a more refined and appealing sound. we have to work to get the sound dialed in on this thing and its predecessor. the factory patches are complete garbage. if you disagree you absolutely can win the argument by winning against every other player i know that plays through a helix board. its an open joke out there in the real world that helix floor was a monster learning curve and work to get dialed in.. the hope was it became easier on the stadium.. but as side from some documentation ability and pretty graphics and a still ridiculously under powered looper. its actually harder to set triggers and controls. (and that again is what made line 6 top dog.. not easy of use) so here we are... jury is out.. are they going to fix it? i dont know. but i wish i did because if they wont.. the board goes back. im not changing my sound because your devs cant code. ill change my platform first. your move line6. are you going to take back the top spot and ice the black eye you gave yourself or are you going to accept your fate and slip in to obscurity and irrelevancy with an inferior product? fyi.. i had to restart the stupid thing this weekend as 200 people waited for your ridiculously long reboot time. it was not a good look for you...

i legit would help them debug this if they gave me a little information. ive been a developer almost as long as a musician. (something has to buy these expensive toys to go make chump change with at night) for that matter.. send me an nda / non compete and a git login and ill take a crack at patching this for us. dont know what its written in but ive a hunch. the sqlite db is easy enough to follow. have to see something else to understand the rest of it.. made heavy use of blob in there.

we are talking again.. i gave them a full backup. they have my irs and everything. you cant just ignore this one. it aint getting better.. and line 6 doesnt want to fall out from a product failing due to some simple stuff like this. the need to be putting out a patch for it yesterday. this gets out and no real musician is going to buy this thing.. in fact.. im already seeing used ones on reverb and i have to think they know whats up.

they responded to my ticket today and said they didnt think it was a bug. i should factory reset. and they "couldnt reproduce it on 1.2" which is complete nonsense.. i didnt say to reproduce it on 1.2.. i said start with 1.11.0 and load the patch.. then upgrade and you will have the nightmare. if "factory reset" is the only path forward this should have been a major version change not a minor and there should have been disclosure and warnings saying yeah youre about to throw away all your work and youre going to get to rebuild from the ground up. im not hopeful for this. they arent taking it seriously at all. this is a beta piece of junk and after years gigging with line 6 products boys im about to have to go find a company that both produces and conducts itself a little better than what we are currently dealing with. we could be friends Line 6.. people stare at me playing your gear every week.. how about i just let the masses see what junk you guys are putting out these days? factory resetting my sound isnt what we are going to do.. its not a path forward for anyone that plays outside their bedroom.. i mean.. that nonsense doesnt even make it to the garage.

good news boys... after fighting with their website for 14 days.. they made the mistake of sending me a customer satisfaction survey .... and that seems to have helped them fix their ticketing site... probably didnt do much for the job security of the QA team. but today i got my first ticket filed with the exact steps to replicate the bug. its super simple to replicate. now its on to the waiting game. and that patch i gave them is so awesome.. if they had any sense at all they would include it in the next release so you guys can at least attempt to sound as good as me. :)

i want the previous version of the firmware released.. so i can install that without their song nonsense no real musician is going to use so my presets works again and i can use the board for live performance.

i mean right now in chrome.. I tried yesterday with the same result.. you say chrome works.. i try chrome.. ive tried pretty much every other browser as well. Ive gotten the same result from multiple platforms.. multiple linux boxes.. macos boxes .. and android phones. (im a software developer.. i do this for a living.... the site is borked.. and i wouldnt even care if the board wasnt also borked. 2300 dollar paper weight. there is no QA happening and they are hiding from the support of their dumpster fire)

ive been trying since the update was released to submit a ticket for THIS VERY ISSUE. you cant.. their site is broke too.

this last update borked it pretty good.. they need to put out a PATCH ASAP. If you reboot... it fixes it.. but then if you try to switch patches.. the thing gets hosed up like a mute is hung on it or something and you arent getting any signal out of any output. I played this thing for 2 weeks.. now i think i might have to go back to the helix until they get this sorted. I regret updating it in a BIGLY way right now. how do i file a bug ticket?
