  1. The silly answer is try both & you choose, but if there is more than the Helix going through the speaker I would use the PA setting.
  2. Thanks Jim, I am based at the moment in Barcelona & in a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator ....The L3 / L2 would be my choice & I would like to have a stereo setup.....the Firehawk 1500 is perfect, but again just too big.... it really needs to be a one man lift..........I'll check the forums & the Mustang amps ......Thanks again for your help very much appreciated.
  3. Hi All, I have a bit of a first world problem here and I'm sure there are a lot of Variax users in a similar situation. I'm about to buy a Helix Floorboard & a Variax standard, both mostly for studio use, but I would like to be able to use the rig in a small live situation. The Problem I have is what amp to go for ? I am reluctant to go for a full range floor monitor option as I think two monitors would make the rig too awkward..... The Firehawk 1500 is just too big..... Amplifi 75/150 would be just about right, but I have a feeling it is only full range as a bluetooth player. The shop I'm dealing with hasn't got either Amplifi models in stock & will not order one without me buying it........ All advice will be gratefully appreciated & any clever workarounds will get a virtual Gold Star.......is there possibly a baby Firehawk 150 without the FX on the drawing board ? Thanks in advance ;-)

  6. Hi Jim, I have had an M20d almost since it came out, & I have used it with some fantastic results....well I think so ;-) I have had issues with SD cards not being read by the machine ....which is ongoing.....& once a staff member at a venue killing the power at the end of a gig before I had stopped the recording....which resulted in no TOC being recorded to the card & as a result a card full of audio but no way of reading it....not a Line6 fault. The Auto Trim inputs work great & I have never had a problem with distortion.......... have abandoned the App, which is great during rehearsals & sound check but I haven't used it much during a gig...................Most of the stuff here was recorded with the M20D & might be of interest https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC597bta4Cil18tOCQ90rFrw I hope this has been of some help All the Best
  7. I posted this about an hour ago ...... Eah ...Right , So a world famous band use Line 6 products.........What I have just seen would not make me want to buy the product....it sounds like rubbish. Please, Please, Please do not insult your customers with this....So What if Greenday ...or U2 or some other mega rich group of musicians use Line6 stuff. Please show me what your customers have done well with the great products you make.....because most of us are not Greenday & scrape together the cash to put the dream rig together. I am sorry for the rant, but I am sure that not one member of that band was aware of what system they were using & could not have cared less...... There is a client base here, who use the gear on a daily basis & I for one would prefer to see & hear what the majority of Line6's users do with the equipment you make :-)
  8. I'm using one of the recommended Cisco dongels with almost no problems....a bit of turn off & turn on to kick in the communication...other than that it works fine. I am very happy with the updated fader control as I almost stopped using the remote with the previous software.... I still do not understand why WiFi was not built in... I use 5 tiny Sony cameras all with builtin WiFi in the rig...but the M20d needs a dongle.....a bit strange ????
  9. I will be looking into this next week...if I have anything to report, it will be here, for sure, as this seems to be a problem for a few others. The YouTube link was to my youtube page, here are a few direct links and as a guitarist I think you will like
  10. Thanks Antonioctd...........I spotted the post just after I posted this morning........I have been using it since last November with no trouble except for not remembering the 48 volt supply on firmware 1.00, after the firmware update the SD Card seating developed a problem which I got around with a small piece of beer mat wedged in with the card to keep it connected.......all a bit worrying !!! What bothers me most with the loss of audio is that I know the data is there......if it was the stolen secrets of the CIA, I would be in jail & some boffin would write a new FAT & retrieve the data...........thanks again. Some of the results I have had so far with the m20d ...delighted with the results....I just wish I could arrive at a venue with more confidence http://m.youtube.com/#/user/babcn?&desktop_uri=%2Fuser%2Fbabcn
  11. I hope somebody here may be able to help. Recently I recorded a gig with my m20d to a 32G SD card & fed 2 sub mixes to foh as I was limited to 16 splitters. At the end of the gig power was killed while the m20d was powered & still recording. I imported the files into the daw the next day, although all tracks were on the card & looked as the file sizes were correct for the length of recording there was no audio on any of the tracks.....it's not a case of lack of level as the sub mixes to the house mix were fine & I was checking inputs both visually & on headphones throughout the evening. I feel it may be that the table of contents was not written to the card due to the power being cut. I anybody has any ideas how to recover the data I would be delighted to hear them...........Thanks to all in advance 🔊
