  1. I put 2 songs in my music website: "Want Me to Do" is the song on top, and "Some Love" is the next song down. One song uses Roland COSM amp models and AdrenaLinn amp models & effects for guitar; the other song uses PodXT amp models for the guitars. Can you tell which is which? Please tell me how you like the music, and how it can be improved. Here is my link: https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandID=224436 By the way, I got one of my songs ("Space Rocket to Mars!") played on 104.4 FM in London, England a few days ago, and it is scheduled to get played on Friday also. It used PodXT on guitar, and I used Bass PodXT on the electric bass. Thank you Line 6!

  7. duncann, I'm a bit confused. Are you Steve Vai, or a fan of Steve Vai?
  8. wposta, Thank you for listening & replying, I appreciate it! Are you from a particular state or country? I agree with your PodXT comments.
  9. OK, here are the answers: "Hey, What You Tryin' to Do" uses Roland COSM amp models for guitar, and "Heard My Call" uses PodXT for guitar amp models on guitar.

  11. I agree with silverhead. I bought a Bass Pod ages ago, and it had a major problem, only about 2 years after I bought it. I took it to an authorized service center & they said it would be about $100, and couldn't promise how well the fix would work. So I bought a new Bass PodXT instead, a long time ago, and I haven't had any problem with that as of yet.
  12. I put two songs in my music website: "Heard My Call" (mostly synths and electric bass; guitars starts at 1:39) is the song on top, and "Hey, What You Tryin' to Do" (guitar oriented) is the next song down. One song has all Roland COSM guitar amp models, and the other song has all PodXT guitar amp models. Can you tell which is which? Please tell me how you like the music, and how it can be improved. 16. al_eebee, Are you sure you are getting the new features of 1.9? Someone else (see nearby recent thread) says 1.9 is just loading 1.82 for him with Catalina.........never mind he got it sorted out later.
  17. Thank you guys for replying! Even if it works in Catalina, it seems odd they wouldn't say it is compatible.
  18. loonsailor, Thank you for replying! Makes me glad I haven't tried it yet.
  19. Gyrfalcon & TJNewton, Thank you for replying! Unrelated: at least I fixed my Melodyne and Soundtoys issue.
  20. Today I got an email from Line 6 regarding Helix Native 1.90: it sounds attractive, but I noticed that it did not say it is Mac OS Catalina compatible, whereas with Helix Native 1.82 (which I'm using now I think) Line 6 says it is Catalina compatible, and I have yet to have problems after trying it briefly (I have a new iMac). As it is, I have yet to get Melodyne and a Soundtoys plugin to work with Catalina, so I am skittish to try this out. What is the official word on this? Or your experience so far?
  21. soundog, That's good. I would have kept going with my old iMac, but I didn't want to put a significant amount of money into a computer at least 10 years old to fix the monitor.
  22. soundog & klowy, Thank you for replying! I'm hoping for the best. If I had to, I could go to an older OSX, but that can cause problems too, I've learned in the past.
  23. I have an iMac that is at least 10 years old and the monitor is getting pretty bad, though mostly visible (Mac OSX 10.11). This week I'm getting a new iMac (with Catalina 10.15). I have already read about Line 6's statement about Catalina. Other than using Apple's Migration Assistant, anything I need to know regarding Helix Native and migrating over to a new iMac? I use Cubase AI8, though it sounds like that won't work with Catalina. Lucky for me (hopefully), Steinberg sent me a free license for Cubase 10.5 LE recently.
  24. soundog, Thank you for posting. Will probably check into this when I have more time.
