  1. Hi. I use a Helix as an external sound card under Windows 10 and I had a similar problem with the audio not functioning on websites which had videos or just audio loops. Worse, when I tried to play my guitar through the Helix it was "garbled". My problem disappeared when I did the following. I went to Settings, then System, and then Sound. Under Input (not Audio) I chose Device Settings and the I clicked on the tab labeled Listen. I unchecked the Listen checkbox, restarted the machine, and the problem was gone. It might be worth a try to see if it helps your problem. When the box is checked, it mistakes input from the Helix (and maybe the UX2 as well) as something that should be sent back to the Helix, and hence it breaks the audio flow. Hope this helps.
  2. I thought I would post something that happened when I updated to HX Edit and/or Helix Firmware v2.30 that took a while for me to resolve. I use the Helix as an external soundcard and never had any trouble with the USB connection to my DAW and Windows 10. After installing HX Edit, saving the preset list, upgrading to the new firmware v2.30, and reinstalling my presets, I could get no playback through the Helix through either my DAW or Wiindows. It took me about four hours to figure out that during this process the new HX Edit had altered Global settings to ones that did not recognize USB input. If this happens to you, check your Global settings. Since I had never done that I had to find out how from the Helix manual. It's not hard. I have no idea how common this problem could be or whether it was something I was to fault for. But I hope it helps someone down the line.
