  1. Thank you both. I got another TRS to double TS insert cable, and replaced the first cable with the newer one. Still got the same problem. Then I found this Reddit post: I made a minor change to my Global Settings: Global Settings EXP/FS Tip: EXP 1 EXP/FS Ring: FS8 FS7 Function: All Bypass FS8 Function: Toggle EX I made sure the insert cable was connected between SP1-L6H and HX Stomp XL as follows: Tip (Black) is plugged into OUT 1 Ring (Red) is plugged into OUT 2 The TRS end is plugged into the Line 6 (EXP 1/2 - FS7/8) FX:Pedalbored preset settings: Wah - Bypass - Footswitch 8 Wah - Position - EXP Pedal 1 Volume - Bypass - Footswitch 8 Volume - Position - EXP Pedal 2 Couple of things that I did not know/get that were tripping me up: - Wah and Volume should not both be set to EXP Pedal 1. One needs to be set to 1, the other to 2 - Really need to put your weight into the toe switch. Light tap on the switch is not enough pressure to switch pedal function.
  2. I just got the SP1-L6H. I am using a TRS to double TS Y-cable to connect it to the HX Stomp XL. The user guide says to test the SP1-L6H with the FX:Pedalbored preset: https://missionengineering.com/line-6-electronic-user-guide/ I cannot get the SP1-L6H to switch between controlling volume and controlling wah as described the user guide. First thing I noticed was the preset had UK Wah 846 Bypass and Volume Bypass both set to Footswitch 5. So I changed the source to Footswitch 8 for both of them. In the Device Settings I have this: EXP/FS Tip: EXP 1 EXP/FS Ring: FS8 FS7 Function: Stomp 7 FS8 Function: Toggle EXP My understanding is with the above settings when I use the SP1-L6H toe switch, the pedal should toggle to controlling wah instead of volume. However this is not happening. What am I missing?
  3. Interesting read! This has been on my mind as I've been researching whether or not to replace the stock .009 strings on my new American Professional II Jazzmaster with .011s - mainly because the .009s feel a little too slinky, even though I play with a fairly light touch. I came across a comment that the .011s will deliver louder output, but with loss of sustain unless the pickup is lowered. I didn't think only a few millimeters was needed though. I tried watching Pusheen's video on Jazzmaster pickup height and it all came down to "use your ears".
