Thanks Phil_M, I didn't even think about that. I thought my helix had a virus or I down loaded the new update wrong.

Has anybody been losing effects on there Helix? I'll create a patch and store it in one of my files, and then later on when I want to edit the patch like to pick a different distortion or chorus, I wont be able to pick them from the list. the names will be there in the list in very light font. but it won't let me pick them. I've tried re updating to version 2.82 and I'll have the same thing happen. do I need to go back to an old software version and re do the update to 2.82?
