  1. Thanks so much for answering my question, I appreciate you taking time to assist me. I have raised a ticket with Line 6 and I will have to see how that pans out. Regards Mark
  2. I have been using my Guitarport pretty much from the day it was released to the public and I found it extremely useful. I had used the Guitarport hardware and Podfarm 1 to record onto Cool Edit Pro on a machine running Windows XP. Agreed it’s a dinosaur rig, but I didn’t have the internet on the machine and it suited my needs so why update for the sake of it. Unfortunately, the machine running XP died last week and it’s fit for the bin. I have a Dell machine running Windows 11 now and Cool Edit runs on it. Podfarm is installed on it, however can’t get the Guitarport interface to work with Windows 11, the hardware is okay as it runs on my friend's machine with Windows 7 on it. i downloaded Line 6 drivers V4.2.7.7 but that only results in a weird distorted output from the Guitarport hardware. I seem to recall in the past I had a limited version of Podfarm 2 and the Guitarport hardware working fine on the machine. For some reason I can’t get Line 6 Monkey to work I get a message stating “could not make a connection to the Line6 web server. Make sure you are connected to the internet. Reason: (Code 80001019) Unrecognised file type.” Could you please give recommendations on how to get the Guitarport hardware to work on Windows 11 and recommend an interface that will work with Podfarm on a windows 11 machine? Thanks for your time and patience. Regards Mark
  3. I should point out I am a long time Line 6 user and I still use my Guitarport. I wasn't keen on how Line 6 terminated some of the features, but that is life. I still stand by my comments, Helix does come with patches which have been designed by Line 6 to sell the Helix. In my experience these patches are impressive. I was initially wowed. As far as guitarists changing their gear, I think a lot of guys do it because they can (DIY bug) or they get bored with their gear, which isn't to say their amps initially sounded bad. Also bear this in mind, I think a lot of guys like the lush sounds but in a very live room, it all can turn to mush.
  4. The Helix did get a huge rap when it came out, thus there are great expectations. The Helix should be like any guitar amp, if you can't good sounds out of it in a couple of minutes then it is the wrong bit of gear for you. No one ever spent two weeks trying to work out whether they could use their AC-30. You might need two weeks to refine your sounds, but it should be very impressed with it straight out of the box.
