  1. Yeah, I kinda thought that, but I can't seem to intentionally transition from the home view to the command center view by just touching the switches. Is there some magic knock? or a way to disable it?
  2. I use a MIDI CC Toggle assigned to a footswitch to control an external effect. Sometimes, when interacting with the switch, it switches the unit display from "Home" view to the command center view. I am at home and playing in my socks (touch issue from resting foot on switch??) I don't know what causes it to happen, does anyone know why this occurs and how to prevent it? Thanks!
  3. Thanks vmoncebaiz for the response, that's kind of what I thought was the case. That's too bad, the global S/PDIF setting would be great. Since I got the Helix I've been using it as my audio interface, but I find the re-amping kinda cumbersome. Having to constantly switch the patch from USB1/2 for recording and USB3/4 for re-amp playback is tedious when trying to punch in small parts. If there's a faster workflow I'd love to know about it. I guess I'm going to try to just use a DI box and send one signal to my interface for recording dry and the other to the Helix (whose output is also going to another input on the audio interface) for the wet. Then I can set the DAW to send out an audio interface output going back into the Helix Aux In. I used to work similarly to this on the HD500X and I could monitor using the Pod while recording dry. Whenever I played back that dry track it was routing back into the Pod and I could hear/record the wet track. I hope that all made sense. Again, if anyone has any other ideas on re-amping workflow I'd love to hear any tips.
  4. The title pretty much says it all. Is there a way to set the S/PDIF digital output to always be the dry guitar tone? I am coming from the Pod HD500X and loved using that option. It seems like now I have to define the digital output per patch? Also, I'd like to use a real amp's preamp but simulate the power amp and cabinet on the Helix. Is that possible? I've been exploring, but it doesn't seem so. At this point, it doesn't seem like you can do either of these, but the unit is complex and is new to me. I wasn't sure if I was just missing something. Thanks!
  5. Thanks so much for checking, I don't know how I'm going to figure out what's wrong then, but at least I know to keep at it.
  6. Can anyone confirm or refute what I mentioned about the missing recording inputs? I'm checking here constantly hoping for some info.
  7. It's been a while since I tried USB recording using my Pod X3, but with the new driver I am only seeing two inputs available where there used to be eight (see below from the manual). Is this what everyone else is seeing or am I remembering this wrong? I'm no longer able to select the 7&8 dry inputs. Edit: To be more specific, I can no longer select any inputs except Mono 1+2 and Stereo 1+2 The Line 6 Audio-Midi Devices control panel lists Record Sends 1-8 under the Inputs & Recording tab, but they are not available in any of the DAWs I have available (Reaper, Garageband or Reason) • 1 is the Stereo Tone with balance and mute Left. • 2 is the Stereo Tone with balance and mute Right. • 3 is the Stereo Tone without balance or mute Left. • 4 is the Stereo Tone without balance or mute Right. • 5 is the Stereo Tone without balance or mute Left. • 6 is the Stereo Tone without balance or mute Right. • 7 is the Stereo Input Left dry. • 8 is the Stereo Input Right dry.
