  1. Hmm... that would seem simpler... and less expensive...
  2. No, the click track is just a click with the beats per minute for the song.
  3. We use a click track at my church. It would be useful to match the tempo of tempo-based effects to the click-track tempo.
  4. Anyone using DAD micro.clock with Helix?
  5. From the manual: A serial FX LOOP is provided (FX SEND and FX RETURN jacks) for connecting other pedals. The FX LOOP’s RETURN jack contains a “normal switch” that interrupts the signal whenever a plug is inserted into the RETURN jack, and automatically bypasses the FX LOOP when the plug is removed. Because of this, the FX SEND jack may be used as another pre-EQ, pre-MASTER volume Output. Send impedance loop. 1 K Ohm Return impedance...... 100K Ohm I don't really know what this means?
  6. I just obtained a tube amp pedal with an effects loop. I want to run a couple of OD, distortion pedals before the amp pedal and use my Helix Stomp for all my time based effects in the effects loop, kind of a 3 cable method if you will, with the final output going to the DI on the amp pedal. My question is, do I use the input/output of the HxSt or the send/return?
  7. I want to set up a OneControl Basilisk to change presets and change snapshots. Can someone help me with this?

    HX Stomp FAQ

How would you set up a Basilisk to scroll through presets and change snapshots?
  9. I'm trying to set up a OneControl Basilisk to change patches and snapshots on my Helix Stomp. How do I do this?
  10. Can't run the updater because of the USB "device not recognized" error.
  11. No problem reading the thumb drive that came with the Helix, or an SSD adapter. Do I need to do a factory reset on the Helix?
  12. Yes. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Same thing.
  13. Trying to update some patches this morning on my Helix and I get a "USB error device not recognized message." Have tried several different cables, tried on both my desktop and laptop, same thing. Please help. Win 10, firmware 2.70, Helix edit 2.71.

    HD500 or HD500X

No, what I was asking is there a device that would allow me to: Guitar -> usb device -> HD500 edit So that I can do some tweaking without having to bring the unit home... then bring it home later and upload the patch.

    HD500 or HD500X

Another question: I keep my HD500 at church most of the time. But I want to work on my models and patches at home on the PC. Is there a USB PC interface that will work with the HD500 editor?

    HD500 or HD500X

Thanks. In which case I think I'll save my pennies for a Helix.

    HD500 or HD500X

I have a POD HD500 and have been wondering about upgrading to the HD500X. What is the difference and is there a good reason to upgrade?
  18. Okay, so more specifics... I play at church, mostly through the sound system. I do an occasional gig with a jazz/pop group and when I do I use a Tech 21 Powerengine 60 and/or run through the sound system (in which case the Powerengine is mainly for monitoring). But the vast majority of usage is through sound system. What I currently use most in my XTL rig: Marshall Plexi Screamer RAT Chorus Delay Phaser Wah (rarely) Volume (have the Mission expression pedal) Reverb
  19. Guitars: PRS Custom 24 SE <-- the one that I use the most these days Epiphone Dot Gibson SG Would it help if I posted screen shots of my XT Live models?
  20. I've had an HD500 for a couple of years now and I haven't really used it yet because the setup just seems so doggone complicated. I've got a XT Live that I've continued to use instead because it gives me tones that I'm used to and that are useful to me. But I would really like to make the switch because, after all, I have the HD500 and want the superior tones. But I don't have a Ph.D. in engineering. What I do have is some time off over Christmas where I can really dig into the HD500 and see if I can get some usable tones. I'd like some help with the complexity of the settings, maybe even taking it one efx at a time, and I hope there are some who understand it better in here and who are willing to help me.
  21. Okay, so I've used an xtl for years and get tones from it that I like. I've bought an HD500 and it has been sitting in the box because it seemed like I had to start all over developing my tones. But now I'm playing with a cover band (in addition to playing in church) and the HD500 gives me some things that I need to use. So, is there an easy and/or seemless way to convert my xtl tones to the HD500 or do I really just have to start over?
