Thank you for posting this (though very late reaction). I always remove mine when the LED blinks. Now I know why. I also use the original Variax Digital IF cable as a backup.

I am using 2.82 firmware now and Editor 2.82. When attempt to import an HLX file, I cannot see any of the HLS files in the folder. But I type "*.*" in the File name box and hit ENTER, I will be able to see those HLS files. Selecting anyone of them into the Editor was just like selecting a HLX file. . I noticed that the volume is set to "zero" and turning (or rather sliding it up to 100%) makes the HLS file work normally.

How can I insert the Flashback X4 (a multi delay) and Pigtronix Polysaturator (a multi distortion) into the HD500. I was planning on using the FX Send/Return path but I would be straying from the standard signal chain of overdrives/distortion before amp and modulations/delay after amp as the FX/Send connection allows only one external pedal and I can't simply put both external pedal into this path. Why the Flashback X4 and Pigtronix Polysaturator? I always seem to be overwhelmed by the Delays and settings in the HD500 and the Poly makes adjustments on the fly fairly easy.
