I agree with you! I own a Variax 700 and the sound of Spank 2 is more similar to that of the Variax Standard if you change Taper to Linear. It becomes less neutral and more colourfull. I Think the same applies to T-Model-1. Thanks for sharing this!

I want to use the tone pot of my Variax to control parameters of my Helix. However, I do not want the tone to change. Is there a way to disable the "tone" function of the tone control?

I have assigned Expression Pedal 1 to a modulation effect and Expression Pedal 2 to Wah. I also assigned an external control pedal to volume (Expression Pedal 3). I did this to always be able to control the maximum volume, either when the wah is switched off or on. When I toggle between EXP 1 and EXP 2 it still switches between volume and wah (the volume pedal is switched off and the wah pedal is switched on, and vice versa), although volume is not assigned to EXP 1. The modulation effect (EXP 1) is not switched off when I switch to wah (EXP 2). In summary: I want to be able to assing blocks to EXP 1 and EXP2 to toggle between (switch one block off while the other one is switched on). This only seems to be possible with volume and wah, I did not find a way to change it. Is this possible? Am I overlooking something?

Thanks a lot for your fast reaction! I just found out what out what the real problem was: The tone pot was not on 10, so all the models sounded to dark :-) I was a bit too fast to put this question on the forum. Cheers, Jan Willem

Hi, I have a related question. I own a Variax 700 and recently I purchased a Variax Standard. I like some of the models from the Variax 700 better. Is it possible to put models from the Variax 700 on the Variax Standard (by using Workbench)? Are they compatible? Cheers, Jan Willem
