  1. Are there any Variax "guitar" models that I can use to sound like a synthesizer? My band is playing some Muse where I need to play the strings/synth part of a song (Uprising). So far, I've used a HD500 delay model to do auto volume swells which sounds ok, but not great. Are there any Variax specific options? Thanks.
  2. Is there an effect on the HD500 that can do auto volume swells? Thanks.
  3. Thanks so much for the responses! I'll give these a try.
  4. I want to be able to increase my patch volume by selecting a footswitch. This would be used to get a volume boost for solos. I would prefer to assign a footswitch to either the amp or mixer volumn, but that doesn't appear to be possible. I know I could turn on a compressor pedal to achieve a volumn boost, but that also effects the overal patch tone, which I want to avoid. Can someone recommend a way of doing this? Thanks.
  5. I figured I would need to use dual amps, but could you be more specific on how to configure the delays. It's not immdiately clear to me how to make the delay "pedal" only delay the signal 10 ms. Thanks.
  6. I have a POD HD 500X. Is it possible to split my guitar signal with one being slightly delayed (~10ms), thus making it sound like two guitars? thanks.
  7. I just got a new 500x and all of the patches that I have tried sound horrible. Most have this really thin buzzy sound, especially the high gain ones. Both the default patches and those I've downloaded online sound this way. Even the clean patches will have a buzzy sound when you strum hard enough. It's not a hum type buzz that persists when you're not playing. But when playing, most of the patches sound like you have a tin can for a speaker. Please tell me there is some setting I can tweak to fix this, otherwise I'm returning it! Thanks.
  8. I was playing around with the Soldano amp models and notice there are also 'pre' versions of each model. Can someone explain the difference? The 'pre' versions sounded much 'thinner', but not sure why. Thanks.
  9. I'll give this a try. Thanks!
  10. I would like to have two identical tones with one have a slight delay to make it sound like multiple guitars. Is there a way to set an overall delay on one chain? Thanks!
