  1. Hi Guys, just as quick update from my side. I‘ve never heard back from Apple so I decided to go for a new Interface. Changed to the Focusrite Solo One v3 now. No more issues... I already have a buyer for my UX1. A shame after all those years... Ede
  2. Hi Luigi, I should do gardening as well, damn ;-) I usually have between 30 and 60 seconds before the stuttering starts. Just enough time to record some riff ideas ;-) When listening to recordings in Garageband, I also get the error. When using my Toneport as a "normal" soundcard e.g. for watching youtube, I do not get the issue. No, I have not heard from Apple today. Support promised, that they will get in touch today or early next week. I hope, that the sound issue will be fixed with 10.15.5 which is currently in beta. I don't think that Line6 will help solving the issue. Our hardware is old including the Toneport (at least in my case). This is an Apple problem. When you search the internet you find several posts of people who had or have the same issue in the last years. Sometimes it was fixed with the next update, sometimes not... I now bought a USB SSD and installed 10.14. with my recording software on it. When I record, I start from USB now. With this method, I do not need to downgrade my Mac and have no change at all in the current installation. I do not have the disc space, because then you could also install a dual boot system on the internal HDD. It's not ideal, but I can work with it. Nevertheless I want Apple to fix their issue. Let's see how that works out. Let's see... I'll let you know. Ede
  3. Hi, I'm now in contact with Apples 2nd level Support and got the confirmation (but not in writing...) that this looks like a software & hardware combination issue. The issue was forwarded to engineering, let's see if this will (ever) be fixed. Maybe in the next version 10.15.5... They want me to visit an Apple store to run some tests on my machine. Unfortunately, the next store is 100 km away. 2nd level support will call on Friday again how to precede. Let's see... Ede
  4. Hi Luigi, there is a prgoram called console. When you open it you see all the logs that are written from every process. When the sound of my toneport crashes, the logs are flooded with the error messages, I've posted. No luck with Apple Support so far. They want me to reset my Garageband. Told them, that I reinstalled my whole machine 3 times... I'll give it another try tomorrow... Ede
  5. Hi, I now contacted Apple Support as it seems like an Apple issue. When checking the Logs when the sound crashes, I get a "coreaudio Kernel trap" error. I hope that Apple can help here... Ede
  6. Hi Luigi, no, unfortunately not. Just tried again... I'm still having the issues and I am in contact with support which was no help so far. I'll keep you updated! Ede
  7. Hi Luigi, I did the same thing. I also created an aggregate device to test if that fixes the issue - no luck. I guess we are stuck here, and as my Macbook Pro is now 7 years old, let's see if we get any help. It must be a change, Apple rolled out with the 10.15.4 Update as it worked before that and still works with 10.14. I also did a clean install of my Macbook the last days with the very same effect just to be sure, that this is not a software issue on my side... I'll reach out to Line6 support to report the issue... What a waste of time searching for a solution when you are stuck at home because of Corona and want to make music ;-) Let me know if you find out anything please and stay safe wherever you live! Ede
  8. Hi Luigi, thank you, I‘ll check that out later. But I think, I‘ve already tried changing the khz settings but I think not the bit settings. Khz did not solve the issue for me. Currently, I‘m booting my mac from an external USB Drive using 10.14 to play Guitar and do recordings, but that‘s not the way I‘d like to work here! I‘ll let you know later if I managed to fix the issue. Ede
  9. Hi Luigi, exactly, I'm getting this popup window as soon as the sound problem starts. I did the latest 10.15.4 Update today but the issue still persists. I've tried all suggested points from Line6 already. My Toneport UX1 also works with the same USB Cable on the very same Macbook running 10.14. I've also tried another Macbook Pro (2016) and had no issue with MacOS 10.15.4 so I assume, that Apple might have changed something with their updates for older Macs. Maybe this can be fixed by an update from Line6? Ede
  10. Hi. The exact error message e.g. in Garageband is: "Sample-Rate 42661 detected. Please check on the conflict between Garageband and the external device". Maybe someone can check, if this is an Apple issue or if it is driver related. The sample rate changes in my case between 38000 and 43000 in those messages. Sorry, I only the screenshot in german language available. Thank you!
  11. Hi, I'm having problems getting my Toneport UX1 running in Mac OS Catalina. Pod Farm 2 and Garageband are showing the same issue. I can play for a minute or so and then the sound is stucked. That means, that it is like you're listening to a vinyl record with a scratch, playing the same tone on and on. Then I disconnect the Toneport, reconnect it, play for a minute and having the same issue again. I tried setting up my MacBook Pro 2013 from scratch with Catalina but I still have the same issue. Running Mojave on the same Macbook from an external USB drive works without any issues. I have driver version 7.6.8 installed. Anyone else having such issues? Thank you!
