  1. I also just got the JTV-89. I found this website that has some tutorials: http://www.vettaville.nl/vvworkbenchtutorials.html
  2. Thanks for clearing that up. I am surprised that Workbench doesn't allow creating "global" tunings rather than only specific to a model. That way you could create many tunings - more than the number on the knob, save them to disk, and load which ever ones you want at any particular time. But's it's easy to do the alternate tunings on the guitar itself and I'm not sure I will ever need a large number of alternate tunings I'm just happy to be able to get them without actually changing the tension on the strings. Thanks again.
  3. Just got the JTV-89 and connected it to Workbench to set up some alternate tunings to replace some of the ones on the tuning selection knob. I see how to create tunings using the on-screen guitar neck, but when I go to send a tuning to the guitar, it seems to want to save it for a specific guitar model (one of the jazzbox models in my case -- that may have been where I had the model knob at the time). I want the tuning to replace one of the selections on the tuning knob (such as Baritone) and have it apply to all guitar models, not just one specific model. I did not see a way to do that so I ended up disconnecting from Workbench and setting the tuning up directly on the guitar using the virtual capo method. In the future I'd like to do it in Workbench so I can save tuning presets to disk for future recall. Can anyone tell me how to send a tuning to the guitar so it replaces one of the tuning knob selections and applies to all guitar models? Thanks.
