Hi Everybody (Line 6 HD500 lovers)

I have purchased line 6 HD500 1 year back & it was working fine with the computer.

When i recently connected my line 6 HD500 to computer then it suddenly goes in to the continuous reboot loop. Then i connect the device with same computer on which it was working perfectly fine 1 year back then also faced the same problem.

I have raised the issue with line 6 Customer service . They replied once & suggested simple method of global reset which did not work.

When i raised that its not solved then they stopped replying & i am waiting for their reply.

I have tried following method to solve the problem but none o f them worked

My connection is good i have checked it.

Its rebooting again and again. i have tried following things
1) tried to do the global reset by holding the left arrow button while power on But it is not showing boot screen.
2) tried to update the flash keeping device in safe mode by holding down arrow button while power on but not able to update the flash & getting timeout error as mentioned in ky earlier message.
3) also set the pedal cal value settings by holding right arrow while power on the device.

Please help me if anybody is facing the same issue & got the solution

Appreciate your help  guys. (I have attached the screenshot of customer service & it looks they don't know anything)

Hi Mak,

Excuse my english..

Same thing arrived to my Pod HD,  it worked nice 2 or 3 years and one day... reboot in loop again and again, connected to computer or not, again and again, I tryed to reset  by holding the left arrow and it worked, it didn't reset the flash memory, didn't lose the patchs, it just stoped to reboot , and now it works correctly, try to hold the left arrow before switch on...

Friendly.

Try it again JIC: hold down the 'down' button on the directional keypad and power up the pod without the USB connected.

Then connect it to Monkey and attempt to reflash it. I would not save your patches at this point and let the complete reset go forward in case there is a bad one in there causing the problems (just a thought). Hopefully you backed them up already so you can restore them later.

Now if none of that works: try a different usb cable (and check the HDs port for bent pins etc) on different ports. All else fails try it on a different PC if you can. Sometimes its not the Pods fault but a system issue.

All else fails:

Yep you have to go this route.

Hope it gets going!
