GreggC
Hello and apologies if this is a repeat question. Purchased a used 700 a couple of months ago, tried it out and worked fine. Went out and got an acoustic amp because I wanted to run the acoustic sounds separately thru the footswitch and the electrics thru the POD300 into another amp. Didn't play it for a while plugged in but tried it yesterday straight with just 1/4" cable - nuthin', zip, nada, zilch. Plugged it into the footswitch (which I though also provided power), the mic cable into the acoustic amp works fine with the footswitch but again, zero output thru the 1/4". Replaced the batteries. No luck. Will get store bought batteries tomorrow but am at a bit of a loss right now. Thanks! Gregg
Palico
Check the amp with another guitar. If the variax is putting out signal via the XLR cable then it means the 1/4 on the variax is outputing signal to the XPS-AB. That logically would seem to point to amp (or whatever your inputing to) not accepting input or not enough gain on the input.
GreggC
Thanks Palico! It's on 3 different amps, same problem. 2 acoustic amps and one standard. Beginning to wonder if it's the jack. A loooong time ago I had a Les Paul Recording that had low impedence pickups so needed a mic cable to run properly. Will try all variables and report back. Thanks again.
