Is the amp's Direct Out (rear panel) a line level or a mic level output? I want to know in order to use the right cable - simple XLR for mic level or XLR to 1/4" TRS for line level. napynap Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 The Direct Out on MkII 212 is Line Level. I use standard XLR cable from amp to channel on PA mixing console live and recording. I believe the ends of the cable you use will not change the level that is feeding through the cable. The balanced connectors keep interference out of the path.
