How do I set m5 cc for fx on /off with xy pad ?

Ok so I've been attempting to control the m5

With an xy pad I have installed in my Guitar

On my further quest to connect it to actually guitar fx and not just a kaoss pad :)

To do this I have also squired an event processor plus from midi solutions.

What setting do I need to transmit so fx will toggle on/off ?

Here's my info and trials so far

From what I understand

The m5 uses cc 1 for the expression pedal

And cc 11 for fx on off 0-63 bypass/64-127 on

My xy pad is currently

Set to transmit on channel 1

With x value 0-127 on cc12

And y balue 0-127 on cc 13

Touching the pad send cc 127

And not touching the pad sends cc 0

There is also a hold function that keeps values where last touched while turned on

Ok small problem is I can't fully test it because I broke my screen changing the frame around it and have a new one on order should be here in about a week

But I do have my trusty kaoss pad kp2

And those xy pad setting where designed for it

It is my

Understanding it sends those same values

Ok bear with

Using the event processor plus I create 2

Settings

Setting 1

map a midi event ;

Control change ; 12 value y

Midi Channel: 1

Map to this event :

Control change; 1 value y midi channel :1

Setting 2

map a midi event ;

Control change ; 92 value y

Midi Channel: 1

Map to this event :

Control change; 11 value y channel 1

So I program that in connect everything up

And setting 1 works fine setting 2 does not

So I can use the x y pad as an expression pedal

Awesome first step complete

But the kp2 (as far as I understand it send touching the pad 127 and not touching it 0

So touching the pad should turn the fx on and off

And it does not

What am I doing wrong ?

It is possible the kp2 doesn't send those values

I know for sure the xy pad will but can't test it for a week

I looked in the kp2 manual but most manuals have extremely limited midi instructions

And I'm honestly pretty new to midi

The event processor plus will let me nap pretty much any midi info to any other

I assume it needs to be cc to cc in this case

Did I do it wrong ?

My other options are

Note on

Note off

Key pressure

Program change

System exclusive

But it seems like cc to cc is my best bet

Values can also be value y

Or variable 1-8 or 0-127

I mean I could also map it to the y axis channel 13 but I don't know how that would work with just on off

Basically I'm trying to use 1 axis as an expression pedal and touching the pad as bypass/ on

I'm not sure if anyone has messed around with this maybe I'm the first lol

Could be cool if we could figure out then

One could ostensibly control the whole pedal from a touch screen on your guitar

So worth it gotta figure it

Out!!

Please and thankyou for any advice :)
