Johnbee
Hi; I recently bought a new Lenovo i5 desktop PC and maximized it for music making. I have the Pod Studio UX2 set up as the PCs default soundcard so everything soundwise comes through the UX2 and into my studio monitors.(I have the PCs internal soundcard disabled). As the UX2 has no on/off switch, in order to protect the PC and UX2 from damage or software/firmware corruption I've made it a habit to unplug the UX2 before shutting down the PC and when I start up I wait until the PC is fully booted up before I plug the UX2 into the USB port (in the rear of the PC). My question is would it be OK to leave the UX2 plugged into the PC at all times whether on or off since the PC is the UX2s source of power anyway or have I been correct in disconnecting before shutting down? Thanks John B
BigChas52
I've had my UX2 plugged into my PC for about 9 years with no problems.
