zooey
Quick question whose answer I think I know: On Helix itself, is there a quick way to insert a block before or after some selected block, when there's already something next to it? Far as I can tell, no, you have to move all affected blocks down one to make room first. Say for instance you want to add a noise gate as the first thing after the input block, but there are already several effect blocks starting there. You have to first move the furthest right one to the right, then the next and the next, until you've made the first slot empty. Is that the state of the art? Or is there some direct way to say, "insert this new block before (or after) the selected one"? If you can't do that on the Helix hardware, can you do it in the app? (Still trying not to use it for a while.) Thanks.
duncann
Just find an empty spot on the path, insert whatever block, pick up the block and move it where you want it. The rest will obey and move out of your way.

The rest will obey and move out of your way. The exception to this method is when the path is already full. It would be great if there was an "Insert Block" option under the Action button that allowed you to insert a new block in this use case and would automatically adjust and move the blocks like the current functionality down to the second path where necessary(when you have a dual path Serial or Super Serial scenario). I generally try to always leave at least one block space available and instead open up a second Serial path to add additional blocks to avoid this situation when I am designing my presets. That way if I have to add another block I don't have to start reshuffling blocks to Path B to make room. If not on the Helix itself, the "Insert Block" functionality would be a nice addition to the Editor but low on my priority list.
