dshr
Hi everyone About a week ago I bought a second-hand M9 in full working order, but after a couple of days the unit failed to produce any sound when I turned it on. After some debugging I came to the conclusion it's DSP-related - the M9 would pass sound through in true bypass mode. It's also definitely both in and out - the tuner fails to detect the guitar signal, while a cranked distortion module fails to produce any static through my amp. After some googling I came across several forum threads saying that a possible fix would be a firmare reinstall. I tried to reflash the device using my Novation Launchpad Pro but failed with the 8A00000-whatever error. Some further searches revealed that Line6 recommend using the M-Audio MIDISport Uno, which I bought. It still failed on my OSX machine, so I ran the Line6 Monkey through a Win10 VM and successfully reflashed the M9. Still, the issue persisted. Has anyone had anything similar? Are there any further steps I can try? And has anyone had their device repaired by a support technician? How much did it cost? Cheers
