Foot switch issues

I just purchased the Firehawk FX.  When I change the effect on foot switch A, all the rest of the foot switches change to the same #.  For instance

 

On A i have 28A Acoustic Rhythm

On B I have 28B Acoustic Chorus

 

If I change A to 29A Rain Song, B automatically changes to 29BAco New Age...B will no longer stay on 28B Acoustic Chorus

 

How do I get B to stay the same while I change A?

You will need to reorganize the presets so that the ones you want displayed simultaneously are in the same 'bank' of presets.

 

Each bank of presets is identified by a number and each of the 4 presets in a bank are idenitified by a letter, A-D. An individual preset is selected by first selecting the bank, at which point the four presets in that bank are displayed. Then you select one of them using the A to D footswitches. If you change from a preset in one bank (bank 1 preset A in your case) to a preset in another bank (bank 2 preset A) there is no way to retain the display of the other presets in the first bank (bank 1 presets B, C and D).

 

You can't change the behaviour of the footswitches or the associated display. You can change how you organize your presets so that the ones you want visible at one time are in the same bank, up to the maximum of four.

 

If you are not familiar with the process of copying and moving presets around I suggest you read up on it before you try it. Be sure you don't unintentionally overwrite a preset in the process.
