Tap Tempo with MIDI (POD HD Pro)

So we recently acquired a POD HD for my band, and are planning to get another for the other guitarist in the near future.

I'm looking to setup the POD HD with automatic MIDI switching, and so far I figured out how to do patch changes, but I'm having a bit of trouble of understanding the Advanced Guide when it comes to MIDI controlling the Tap Tempo feature.

We play to a click track with a backing track, and it's important for us to be at sync with the tempo of the song at all times. So when it comes to delays and other time based effect, I would like to make sure that the POD changes the tempo as we play any of our song.

I read the Advanced Guide and I seen the Tap feauture is on MIDI CC 064 Value 064-127, but how does this translate to changing the Tap Tempo of the pod, so we don't have to click the tap tempo button everytime we  play a new song.

Might be an easy answer, but I'm a bit new to setting this up, so any help would be appreciated :)!

I have attached the a clip for the advanced guide just you all know what I'm talking about!

I'm not 100% on this... but... I think you would need to send out 3-4 CC 064 messages that are "on the beat" for each tempo change. Essentially mimicking stepping on a tap tempo switch if you were doing it live.

Give it a shot.
